TWO years trouble-free operation on flare gas “RULE 1118” application

“May 2009 in L.A., California a WIM 9900 HHV analyzer performing in accordance with the AQMD requirements was successfully commissioned. This unit is the first of a new generation HHV analyzers following the ASTM D-4891 method closer than any other available process analyzer. The WIM 9900 HHV is based on the successful WIM 9600 and 9900 series analyzers, and is specially designed for the flare stack “RULE 1118” applications”.

June 2011, It has been two years since the first WIM 9900 HHV unit has been commissioned on a flare gas application in accordance with the Californian RULE 1118 requirements. Based on a trouble-free operation period 2+ years, we can conclude that the WIM 9900 HHV unit offers some substantial benefits for Wobbe Index and BTU measurements under harsh conditions. Gasses with high concentrations of corrosive elements and/or heavy components can be measured problem free.

The WIM HHV series analysers can be setup for ZERO EMISSION operation without the need for external catalytic converters.
